eSafety Demonstrations at UNECE-GRRF Meeting in Geneva on 12 May 2011

On 12 May 2011, the eSafety Challenge and CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, organised a live demonstration of heavy-duty vehicles focusing on Advanced Emergency Breaking Systems (AEBS).

The demonstration took place during the 70th Working Party on Brakes and Running Gears (GRRF) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva. It was hosted at the Geneva testing ground of the Touring Club de Suisse (TCS).

During the demonstrations, some 90 international experts were able to experience the AEBS technologies first-hand. They followed eSafety braking manoeuvres both passively as spectators but also actively as passengers in one of the six vehicles used.

In addition to the demonstrations, the event featured exhibition stands showing components and movies to explain eSafety systems.
