The Internationl Transport Forum is the top summit organised by the OECD where transport ministers from 52 member countries and beyond, as well as business leaders and civil society representatives meet to debate strategies for transport.
On the 26th May 2011, the day when ministerial sessions will be held, Transport Ministers and VIPs from their delegations will be offered the opportunity to observe and participate in demonstrations of advanced vehicle safety technologies which have the potential to save a huge number of lives on our roads.
The demonstrations organised by eSafety Challenge will include • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for motorbikes • Electronic Stability Control • Emergency Braking • Blind Spot Monitoring • eCall
The demonstrations will be supported by professional drivers, including Dirk Werner, BMW Motor-Sport American Le Mans Series driver.
The eSafety Challenge Truck will also be on site with simulators for ESC, Predictive Emergency Braking System Assist and Lane Assist System, and additional displays of eSafety technologies for Ministers and VIPs to visit.
